British Colonies Coins
I've been collecting coins for 9 years now. In all these years of collecting
I've developped a kind of research, even I collect world coins, I quite prefer Commonwealth and British Colonies coins.
Why?, I'll be honest, I don't know. Maybe the fact I'm living in a Commonwealth country is the reason but I can't argue about that. In this section, you'll find
information about Commonwealth coins, there's nothing for doing a book but it could be useful for the begineer and other collectors.
Commonwealth is maybe an unknown word for some of you, especially if you're not living in one of these countries.
The Commonwealth is a part of countries, about 50 countries and 20 colonies of England or other country like New-Zealand or Australia (Cook Islands is member of Commonwealth but is part of New-Zealand). All these countries have something similar, they are old or are actually British colonies. Some of these country, not all of them, still have the Queen or King (actually it is Elizabeth II) as chief of state.
Most of Commonwealth coins have something special, they have the King or Queen of the state on their coins.
For now, Elizabeth II is on most of these coins but few countries don't have Elizabeth II in their coins even if they are part of
of this association (India, South Africa, Pakistan, Singapore). In my case, I prefer coins with Elyzabeth II so I write about them.
